Around Potsdam, Germany

Our Postdam campground, Camping Sanssouci zu Potsdam, cost 38.90 EU per night for our family of four.  The EU costs  us $1.27 in US Dollars.

This was our first experience at staying at a campground to make our way around to tourist spots.  We were VERY impressed at how lovely and developed the campgrounds were.  We had power and water at our pitch with grass and trees.  When checking in, we were greeted with a small glass of the local sweet wine.  The campground had an amazing restaurant, small very convenient store on site, three playgrounds, cement tennis tables, minigolf, swimming and sailing classes, and the kids favorite, pedal race cars to drive all around the campground. The biggest bonus of this campground was meeting our new friends, Hanne and Klaus.

There are reasons why blogging WHILE vacationing is SO important.  This is a picture of one of the reasons, Den and I can't recall exactly WHAT this was.  It's in Potsdam...

The Brandendburg Gate on the Luisenplatz in Potsdam.  There is another (the more famous one everyone knows of) Brandenburg Gate in Berlin.  This one was built in 1770/71 by Fredrick II of Prussia and is older than the Berlin gate.

As we took the train into Potsdam or Berlin from our campground Camping Sanssouci Potsdam, this was one of the graffiti buildings that we went past every time.  There was a lot of graffiti thoughout the city.

This scene on top was also part of our trainride into the city.  The trainride was full of eye candy like this as we went buzzing past.
